OH WAIT Striped Panel Boxy Long Sleeve T-Shirt
Mythological tragedy usually has the decency to commit fully to the fall: Icarus didn’t ask for a timeout halfway to the Aegean, and Phaethon never attempted to pull over the sun chariot. "OH WAIT," captures the unglamorous moment right after hubris runs out and basic self-preservation kicks in. Frozen mid-trajectory against an optical Breton stripe, a classical anatomical figure dangles beneath a taped, corrugated cardboard placard issuing an abrupt, pedestrian retraction: OH WAIT. It is the exact microsecond when grand aesthetic conviction realizes it has made an irreversible logistical error.
The canvas destabilizes classic beatnik and mariner tropes through raw cut-and-paste deconstruction. A jagged tear of clean white jersey cuts across the shoulder and chest, interrupting the tight horizontal stripes like an architectural rupture. Spun from a fluid, 250 gsm viscose-cotton knit with added stretch, the garment drapes with an effortless, boxy weight making sudden panic look remarkably well tailored.
- The Artwork: Center-chest graphic featuring a classical, muscular anatomical figure suspended beneath a taped cardboard banner reading "OH WAIT," in bold, distressed block lettering.
- The Silhouette: Relaxed, boxy cut engineered with dropped shoulders, elongated sleeves, and a deliberate slouch that maintains clean lines.
- Deconstructed Construction: Asymmetrical paper-tear patchwork along the upper right chest and hem, contrasting solid optical white against dense monochrome stripes.
- Trims & Finishes: Pattern-matched striped ribbed O-neck collar and a rugged raw-cut hemline for an authentic deconstructed finish.
- Textile Composition: 42.7% viscose, 39.3% cotton, 12.8% acrylic, 5.2% spandex—engineered for a soft, fluid hand-feel, natural drape, and reliable shape recovery.
- Fabric Weight: 250 gsm (7.4 oz/yd²)—moderate density calibrated for spring, cool summer nights, and transitional autumn layering.
- Provenance: Visual satire, collage concept, and layout direction by Jon Fulton Adams.
- Machine wash cold at 30°C on a gentle cycle, turned inside out to preserve the print definition and protect the raw hem.
- Tumble dry on low heat, or flat dry in the shade to maintain the boxy shoulder alignment.
- Iron at low temperature strictly on the reverse side; keep hot irons far away from the printed hesitation.
- Do not bleach. Do not dry clean.
- Look thoroughly before leaping; retractions made mid-air are rarely honored.
