STRUCTURAL TRIAGE Barrel Leg Denim Jeans
The safety pin has long served as the sartorial uniform of desperation - a sharp, metallic refusal to let a blown seam split completely open under pressure. "STRUCTURAL TRIAGE" neutralizes that panic into high-resolution, printing photorealistic steel fasteners directly onto intact, structurally sound denim. Every glint of chrome, spring coil, and cast shadow is an optical illusion: they pierce no yarn, hold no tension, and will never prick your thumb in transit.
Rendered on an exaggerated barrel-leg cut that arcs out from the hip before tapering cleanly at the cuff, the trousers pit architectural discipline against the visual theater of breakdown. A group of crossed pins guards the left thigh, while a vertical ladder of linked steel stabilizes the lower right calf, offering the gritty romance of a garment barely holding itself together, backed by the stubborn permanence of industrial weaving.
- The Print: High-definition direct print of oversized industrial safety pins with photorealistic specular highlights and drop shadows, configured diagonally across the left thigh and vertically down the lower right leg.
- The Silhouette: Engineered barrel-leg architecture featuring curved lateral seams that create sculptural, three-dimensional volume through the leg while tapering neatly toward the ankle.
- The Wash: Multi-tonal vintage stone-wash in faded mid-indigo, accented with authentic whiskering, light localized abrasion, and subtle knee fading.
- Hardware & Waist: Mid-to-high rise waistband with belt loops, finished with a metal shank button and heavy-duty zip-fly closure.
- Pocket Architecture: Classic five-pocket styling, featuring curved front slash pockets, a low-profile coin pocket, and deep back patch pockets.
- Textile & Weight: Substantial heavyweight woven denim, engineered to hold its dramatic outward curvature without sagging.
- Provenance: Visual illusion, graphic rendering, and silhouette direction by Jon Fulton Adams.
Care Instructions
- Machine wash cold (30°C) on a gentle cycle, turned inside out to preserve print fidelity and metallic contrast.
- Line dry in the shade to maintain the structured curve of the outer barrel seam.
- Iron at low temperature strictly on the reverse side; avoid direct heat contact with the printed fasteners.
- Do not bleach. Do not dry clean.
- Do not attempt to unfasten the pins; your structural collapse is entirely two-dimensional.
